Release Notes

This is a special release, and is not technically related to the CSVtoInfopath tool. This is a utility that I wrote to work in conjunction with Quest Software's Notes to Sharepoint migration tool. That tool includes the ability to migrate Notes database data into Infopath forms.

Part of the process for migrating requires that you take an XML document created by your Infopath template and specify which Notes' field corresponds to each Infopath field. There is a specific format that each field listing must take, depending on type.

I wrote this utility to take some of the manual work out of building this file. It works by opening your XML file, and reading all the fields. For each field, you then select what type of field it is (Text, HTML, Attachment, etc), which Notes field should be used to populate it, and whether or not the fields is a repeating Infopath field. Once everything is filled out, the XML is generated and displayed for use with the Quest tool.

I'm including this utility in the CSV to Infopath project because much of the code was taken from that tool, especially the interface. If you are interested in the CSV to Infopath tool, you should not download this release. I can, however, recommend the Quest tool as being very good software.
